Thirteen of them made the First City possible and the rest of
history impossible. A field summary, with the standing caveat:
most of these are stories the elders agree on, which is not the
same as true.

  VEDDHARTHA — Ventrue. Builder of the Second City's spine. Claims
               everything; the claim is the discipline.
  ARIKEL     — Toreador. The first painter. Apocrypha says he invented
               beauty as an obligation.
  ENNOIA     — Gangrel. Never built. Walked. The roads are hers.
  HAQIM      — Banu Haqim. Judge of the Second City; three castes
               answer to a court that never adjourns.
  LASOMBRA   — Lasombra. Traded the sea for the shadow behind the sea.
  MALKAV     — Malkavian. One patient, one diagnosis, distributed.
  ABSIMILIARD— Nosferatu. Asked for a mirror. The curse answered.
  TZIMISCE   — Tzimisce. Flesh as a native language.
  RAVNOS     — Zapathasura. Destroyed 1999 over Dhaka. The oldest
               confirmed death of an Antediluvian, witnessed by
               satellites. Verify what satellites can see.
  SAULOT     — Salubri. Diablerized by Tremere, 1133. The first theft
               that organized the rest.
  SET/SUTEKH — Ministry. God-killer by his own account; his account
               is the only scripture the clan keeps.
  ILYES      — Brujah. Diablerized by his own childe Troile. Carthage
               was the argument; Rome was the rebuttal.
  CAPPADOCIUS— Diablerized by Augustus Giovanni, 1444. The family
               kept the ledger. The ledger kept the soul. File with
               DO NOT REPLY.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (per Jyhad summary):
- They die only to each other, or on purpose.
- Most are in torpor. "Most" is doing structural work in that sentence.
- Any elder who volunteers their location is lying about something else.
