  They believe in a god and they believe they are its infrastructure, and the combination is not as comforting as it sounds.

1. SHAPE

Ascetic, strategic, and relentlessly organised. The Assamite entered the modern world in 1948 with a laptop and a five-hundred-year plan and they are still on schedule.

They do not recruit out of conviction alone. They recruit out of a demonstrated aptitude for faith, which makes them the only clan on this network that can be audited.

2. THE ORDER

A strict hierarchy of obligation, sworn to and enforced by a curia that moves cities when the local Situation Committee becomes inconvenient. Prague has had an Order cell since 1962 and it has been dismantled four times.

Their Discipline is Fortitude to a degree that stops being a discipline and becomes a lifestyle. Members take damage the way other people take notes.

3. OUR POSITION

Formal non-aggression, renewed every three years, signed by people who have never met. It has been broken twice, both times by their side, both times apologised for within a month.

The apologies were worth more than the treaty. That is noted here so nobody in the next hundred years mistakes the Assamite for naive.
