  They were in the Prague riots in 1848, they are in every uprising in the last two hundred years, and they have never once been on our side or our enemy.

1. SHAPE

Honour-bound, direct, and completely uninterested in our metaphysics. The Brujah want a childe who can fight and a city they can walk through. They regard the Compact as a filing system and the Masquerade as a costume.

Their Discipline is Protege at Chapter four. It is the best street-fighting discipline on this network and every one of our childer has been taught to lose to it.

2. CHICORY

The Brujah garrisoned the barricade at Chicory in 1848 and lost eleven childer holding a street corner for two days against an army. The house has kept the name ever since, as a rebuke.

Their word for us is "council". It is not affectionate. It means the thing that sits behind you while you do the work.

3. OUR POSITION

Allied in fact, unallied in word. We have given them ground in the Karlin station twice and had it back twice, and both exchanges were conducted without a treaty because a treaty would have implied we had something to negotiate.

They are the only house we would call in if the Second Inquisition put boots on the streets above a Warren, and we have never tested whether the compliment is mutual.
