  The Court of Night has three hundred and fifty years of continuous consciousness in it, and this node has met three members of it, and all three were lucid.

1. SHAPE

A court, an order, and a single very long argument about what has been done and whether it can be undone. The Malkavian do not forget, do not pretend not to, and treat the rest of us as people who have not been awake long enough to have an opinion.

Their Strength discipline is the most honest thing in this file. An elder who has fed too often loses the ability to lie for a day. That has been tested on this network and the test was unpleasant for everyone.

2. THE NIGHT

The Court of Night is not a place. It is a claim about a time. Members enter it and come back lucid, which is the part nobody believes until they have met one.

A Malkavian who has been to the Night knows things about the Viennese letters that nobody alive has published. We have asked. They will answer, at length, in a fortnight, having already decided.

3. OUR POSITION

Engaged. They are the most useful house we talk to and the least reliable, because a Malkavian who tells you the truth is still telling you the truth from a position four hundred years deep.

Two open questions: what they know about the Vienna node, and what they meant by "the thing in the Warren is older than the Warren."
